The contrasts in India were evident when we opened our drapes this morning and saw the slums outside our window, as compared to the opulence of our hotel....
Our trip was pretty easy considering Andrew and I both have only travelled out of the country to Mexico and Canada! The 15 hour flight went faster than I expected, we both slept for about 4 hours. Once landing in BOM we had to of course go through customs which was easy, even though we did have an extra form to do about the Swine flu. We got all of our luggage and then got a taxi...
The taxis are so small, a rollerskate on wheels if you will, that they have no trunks so our bag (originally weighing in at 108lb before we had to purge some at BIA and have my parents come back and get some non essentials) sat on top of the car on the way to our hotel without being tied down at all!
We are now off for the free breakfast... they may lose $ on this with Andrew here!
Oh and No Megan, we have yet to see a monkey, but we do have a balcony so we will be sure to stay off it!

So happy you made it with few hassles; I should have mentioned the size of the bag - I knew it looked too big in the photo! Happy Mother's Day - only a matter of hours now! Thinking of you...
We've been thinking about you and are absolutley thrilled for the two fo you! We tried to make it to the airport Saturday, but the timing wasn't right. Can't wait to log on and see new updates. Have fun, be careful and give Leah a kiss from Steve, Cheryl and Michelle.
Love you guys!!!!
